In Memorial, Cathryn “Cat” Lambert

I was so excited when Cat private messaged me on Facebook and asked if I wanted to write an all-new health and fitness page for the website. I knew of the infamous Cat, she was everywhere anyone wanted to be in Toledo. The first time we met we chatted like high school girls about everything, and nothing. By the end of the meeting we were scheduling when she was going to drop off flowers for my upcoming wedding. We had known each other for two hours, and she was insisting on giving me flowers, from her yard, for my nuptials. That’s the kind of woman she was.
Cathryn “Cat” LeeAnn Lambert was an amazing person. I’m so lucky to have been able to call her my friend. I only worked on for one year, but we became fast friends over coffees and emails. I will miss her cat puns, most of all. And, her corny sense of humor. And, her smile. And, how kind she was. And, how fun-loving she was.
As I deal with the painful loss of my friend, I know that Toledo has lost a great cheerleader. My thoughts and prayers are with her two surviving sons, Matthew and Michael. I hope they find peace, soon, in their hearts. I hope they are able to see past their devastating loss, to see their mother all shiny and smiling, watching over them forever more. I hope that the community, their community, will allow them to focus on how wonderful their mother was, not how she was taken from this world.
Cat was an amazing woman, mother, wife, friend, daughter, aunt, sister, advocate, cheerleader, cancer survivor, music lover, art supporter and so much more.
A “Thank you Cat” event at Delightful Art with Dee’s Art with a Heart on Michigan St. in downtown Toledo will be held on Thursday, May 21 from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Thanks to all of her friends and family’s immense support a memorial service will be held on Friday, May 22 at Thomas Wisniewski Funeral Home 2426 N. Reynolds Road, Toledo, OH 43615 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m.
